Finally... The House Hunt is Over

Okay I know I haven't blogged in a while but I just wanted to give everyone an update on our house hunt... We are officially homeowners... I am so excited. I will be taking pictures and posting them throughout the week and months to come of our progress.

Tired....

Well today is one of those days where I just wish I had one that big lottery so that I could stay home and enjoy everyday that I have been given not stressing from work or anything else. Just needed to vent about that really quick now on to the important stuff... House Hunting.

We have decided to begin looking at existing homes again. Let me tell you this is a stressful process. I am beginning to hate it. haha. Well we again will keep you posted.

Big Decision

So as most of you know J and I have be actively looking at a couple houses and we finally decided on one however after much thought and consideriation we have decided that we are going to walk away from the home we orignally fell in love with.  We have decided to look at another builder. Once we have a definate answer we will let you all know.

Financing ......

Who knew financing was so hard?? When I bought my first home 4 years ago I didn't have this much stress or anything and then it hit me K you bought before the housing market tanked.... So as I sit here going through this massage stack of documents for J to review and the lawyer to review its rough. I mean whew.... Positive note we are one step closer to getting approved and moving into our dream house. However, always the realist if something happens it happens so we continue to wait.....

Home Financing......

Well this week has been a roller coaster of emotions for J and myself. Not only did we find the house we loved we had enough guts to put down the earnest money contract. Big step for us. So next step loan approval. This shouldn't have been an issue at all. J has a great job, great credit and a savings so we didn't see any issues then Monday came. Not only did we have the time change but we were not approved. J and I were shocked. I mean really us not approved. The one thing we did not plan for. So basically for all you first time home buyers out there in the world there are some new FHA requirements for those who work at a job with commissions. The lenders want to see at least 2 years of employment with a company before they will use your commissions as income. This was heartbreaking for J and I. J will be with his job for 2 years 4 weeks after our anticipated closing date. I was shocked but I understand why we have the requirements. So needless to say J wasn't happy about this and after working what seems like forever (13 days not a day off yet) it was not a good Monday. Then Tuesday comes and changes everything. Another family member who works at the same job as J was approved for his first home. He has worked at the same job for less time then J. J and I were shocked so we called our builder and now we are trying to be approved with a different lender. Now back to the waiting game. We hopefully will know something by the end of the week beginning of next week.Who knew this could be so stressful but in the end so worth it. Congrats C & C on your first home!! We love you guys so much!!

House Hunting

Well as most of you already know Josh and I have been actively searching for a home for the past year and well we kept coming up short until this past weekend. We officially put down money to build our own brand new home. I am so excited especially since we will be closer to our family than we originally thought. We can't wait! Here is a picture of what our house will look like.
